Stars For A Day Show 2026

Stars LogoThe annual "Stars For A Day" Variety Show will be held on Wednesday, 20th May at the Kings Hall from 09.00 - 11.45 approximately.  Admission is free, although a bucket collection will be held as the audience leaves the hall.

Parents and families, friends, etc are welcome, and we hope they will come.

The Stars of the Show are children from All Saints Primary School,  Ashlands Primary School and Burley Oaks Primary School and every act will have been devised by the children themselves with no input from teachers, parents, etc.

We are grateful to Ilkley Town Council, who have kindly awarded £400 to the Stars event to help cover the cost of hiring the Kings Hall.


Denis Sharp Memorial Concert 2026

Stars LogoThe Denis Sharp Memorial Concert is taking place on Friday, 20th March at 7.30 pm at the Hollygarth Social Club on Leeds Road, Ilkley.  Tickets will be available at the door, priced at £15.00.  

The Clifton and Lightcliffe Brass Band will be performing, and also local vocal star Mark Gregory.
 
As the Hollygarth is licensed, the bar will be open throughout the evening and tea and coffee will also be available on a self-service basis.  There is ample parking space to the rear of the building.  A raffle will also be held.

Primary Schools Variety Show on 21st May, 2025

Wednesday 21st May saw 80 children from three local primary schools descend on the Kings Hall, ready to perform and support each performer. The acts included a comedy duo, a poetry recitalist, a magic act, an acrobatic display, nine vocalists, a flautist, a saxophonist, guitarists, a school choir, a band, seven pianists and seven dance acts, both as solo, duo, trio and group formats.

The morning began with each school joining together to sing a pre-learned song, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”. This was led by Mrs Lucy Ashton, primary school teacher in charge of music and my interface with the three schools involved. She has done a wonderful job creating running orders, programmes and sorting out technical details with the schools and the

Denis Sharp Concert 2025

The Concert will be held on Friday 21st March at Hollygarth Social Club at 7.30 pm, and will feature the Clifton and Lightcliffe Brass Band who amazingly have made this a regular fixture in their annual concert schedule.

Tickets remain at £15.00 and there is ample parking at the Club. As it is a licensed premises the bar will be open throughout the evening and soft drinks and coffee will also be available.  There will be a raffle to raise additional funds to enable the payment of the Kings Hall

Stars 2024

"Stars '24" took place on the morning of Wednesday 22nd May at the King's Hall, Ilkley, and what a morning it was!  So much talent was displayed by the performers from All Saints, Ashlands and Burley Oaks Primary Schools!  It was an awesome morning!

A huge variety of performances took place.  Amazing gymnastic teams were performing all manner of jaw-dropping moves, instrumentalists playing saxophone, cornet, violin and electric guitar solos.  We had a choir, a band, a poetry recitalist
